Wk.end Band | How Bout Us

It’s Saturday evening, the temperature is right, and there’s a party in the Napa’s. You grab your girl or guy and hit the P.C.H (Pacific Coast Highway -Southern California) and cruise. The music of choice for this ride is the debut cd from the “Weekend Band” led by former Champaign keyboardist Dana Walden.

"Arrabella", "Bordertown", "Catalina Crossing", & "Butter And Jelly" are your upbeat songs and "Make It A Double", "Morning Cloak", "Sex In The City", and a fantastic cover of the old school R&B group, Champaign song "How Bout Us" are your mellow out grooves.

Joining Dana on this sweet sounding cd is Jeff Helgesen, Chip McNeil, Dave Dickey (no relation to me, but you never know, talent does run in the family), Joshua Walden, Ryan Mc Bride, David Neal, David Parkinson, Arnold McCuller, & Justin Walden. Together they combined - created fluid melodies & textured rhythms to mold a wonderful, masterful sound.

Even though this cd came out in 2007, it sounds just as fresh as it did two years ago. This cd is perfect for cruising, or a picnic, no matter what the occasion is. Not just for the weekend only kind of deal. Just put this cd on and let it play.
