Tortured Soul | Did You Miss Me

Tortured Soul, which is comprised of members Drummer- John-Christian Ulrich, bassist-Jason Kriveloff, and keyboardist-Ethan White, have put together a very impressive album aptly titled, "Did You Miss Me".
And if you listen closely to this project, you'll hear the trials and tribulations that you get from touring, hanging out after the show, and being away from home. Tortured Soul has captured this feeling in the form of music for the disc.
Tortured Soul is keeping that 80’s vibe alive, but sounding more on the U.K. side of things musically. The first track "Home To You" has a quick sample from the old school disco/soul group Change, and the whole cd is a dance floor delight. I like where they infuse different styles of music while keeping that solid European 80’s type of groove. Tortured Soul has always recorded a instrumental track, which in turn has that deep funk, acid jazz feel to it. And most of there songs has that vibe to it
Johns' voice keeps sounding better and better throughout the rotation of the disc, and keeps a even keel throughout. His drumming is seriously in the pocket folks.
"Home To You", "In My Fantasy", "Did You Miss Me (intro)", "Did You Miss Me", "Your Dream Is My Dream", "Time To Make Up Your Mind", "Another Lover", "Unsteady", "We Like Tequila", "Special Lady", "In Motion (instrumental)", "See You More", & "At The Bottom", are the Track Listings for this CD.
So...if you want to get your groove on before you hit the streets, this is the best bet. Here's a video of Tortured Soul - Live at Liv's in Washington D.C.:Marv D.
